Safety Spotlight: Safe Holidays Are Happy Holidays

December 2016

The holidays can be a season of distractions, so remember to keep safety in focus.

At Brighton Tru-Edge, commitment to safety is at the core of how we work, and it’s essential to our lives at home too.

We believe that no job is so important that we cannot take the time to perform it safely – whether it’s welding a tank or hanging holiday decorations.

This year Brighton Tru-Edge welcomed Corporate Safety Manager Jeff Wells to company headquarters in Cincinnati. Wells has worked with the Brighton team to enhance its culture of safety.

“The Brighton safety program has reached a level of excellence, and our team works daily to maintain that level as well as strives to improve even more,” Wells says.

Accidents can happen, but there are measures everyone can take to prevent mistakes that could lead to injury. Brighton empowers every worker with Human Performance Improvement tools, which encourage team members to consider safety implications of every action and lessen the impact when mistakes do happen.

You can take the same approach at home. So when you’re retrieving presents hidden in the attic, traveling to visit a relative or just lighting a fire in your fireplace, think about ways you can improve your safety – during this festive season and all year round.

Learn more about why safety is more than a catchphrase at Brighton Tru-Edge – it’s a core value.
