ASME Flanged & Dished
The tolerances for these flanged and dished tank heads comply with ASME requirements. The tank heads may be formed from:
- Carbon steel
- Stainless steel
- Other ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys
The inside dish radius is typically 100% of the diameter, and the inside knuckle radius at least 6% of the diameter.
Inside Dish Radius: Typically 100% of diameter.
Inside Knuckle Radius: At least 6% of the diameter.
Typical Thin Out Allowance:
- 1/2″ and Under – Add 0.03125″ to the minimum
- Over 1/2″ – Add 0.0625″ to the minimum

Heads over 288″ can be fabricated as segmented heads. Heads over 1-1/2″ on application. Parameters are given as reference only. Please contact a sales representative for specific inquiries.
